1901 - “Postage Stamps of Tasmania” presentation sheet  (280x470mm) with 45 stamps affixed overprinted SPECIMEN or REPRINT

Comprises: the 1d and 4d Couriers from the defaced plates; all five Chalons; the Queen Victoria Sidefaces to 5/- including the “Halfpenny” and 2½d surcharges; all the Key Plates to £1;  the St George & Dragon and Platypus postal fiscals and lastly the complete recess printed Pictorials.

This is the rarest of all of the 1901 presentation sheets.

...these were all given to members of Parliament at the time the Comm Gvt was formed...there is a set of each state.  As far as I fcan find out there were only 29 issued all told”.  Thanks to Ross Ewington for this information
